Nearly every school district in northern Ohio dealt with a surplus of calamity days this past year; which forced a number of make-up days in the classroom for students and teachers. There’s new legislation going into affect this year concerning calamity days; and that was discussed this week by the Archbold School Board of Education.
The Archbold School Board also approved a payment to NorthwestState community college for expenses in the dual enrollment program, totaling nearly $18,000.
In personnel action; the Archbold board approved the hiring of Amy Baden as an intervention specialist; and Mike Kennedy as assistant varsity basketball coach.
Archbold is also in the middle of a renovation project for Spengler field, including replacement of bleachers, scoreboard, sprinkler system, and audio system.
