Only two bids were submitted by contractors for a road improvement project in HenryCounty. Commissioners opened bids during their Tuesday session for the work to be done on road W, with an estimated cost of $335,500. Both bids were under the engineer’s estimate, with the contract to be awarded on Thursday.
The Henry County Commissioners also went into executive session with Tim Schumm and Patrick McColley to discuss collective bargaining; but no action was taken.
Commissioners are considering a proposal to establish a capital projects fund, which could accept and help generate dollars for the acquisition, construction, or improvement of fixed assets in HenryCounty.
The HenryCounty board reviewed their funding options for interim financing for the new water treatment plant.
And they approved the annual appropriation for the Henry County Soil and Water Conservation district at $116,000.
