After an executive session to discuss personnel, negotiations, and land issues; the NapoleonAreaSchool board of education got down to business at their regular session Wednesday night.

 

The board approved their premium for liability, property, and fleet insurance at just under $90,000, which is an increase of about $5,500 from the year before.                               A new contract for nursing services through the HenryCountyHospital was approved at $23.50 per hour for the coming year.   That’s an increase of $3.50 per hour from the previous year.

 

                        Several change-orders on the construction project were approved during the Napoleon school board meeting, totaling more than $160,000, covering issues like soil stabilization and parking lot improvements.

 

In personnel action, the Napoleon board accepted the resignation of 4th grade teacher Erin Failor.   Through moves of teachers from other grade levels, the opening will now be in 8th grade science to replace Failor.

 

Sara Buchop (buke-up) was hired as an intervention specialist, and Lindsey Wagner was added to the staff of the high school guidance department.

 

                                    Ken Boland was approved as girls softball coach for next year; and the CampPalmer education program was approved for the week of May 11th, 2015.
