A new chilling unit has been ordered for the Henry County Courthouse. Commissioners approved the bid from Dunbar Mechanical of Toledo, with a total cost of $283,620, which includes equipment and installation. This will make significant improvements to the air conditioning in the 130 year old structure; but will not be started until after the current cooling season is done. That means completion is expected in early November.
Another repair project has been nailed-down by Henry County Commissioners, as they approved a proposal from Bo-dec roofing of Archbold, to make improvements to the roofing structure at the Oakwood Office Complex. That cost will be just under $10,800.
HenryCounty has joined the state cooperative purchasing program, at a cost of $170.
And commissioners got an update from CSX Transportation, with an overview of how the railroad company provides information to local responders concerning any hazardous materials they may transport. CSX also reports through Homeland Security, every car on every train in the state is tracked for terrorist activity.
And the Henry County Commissioners will be joined by parties in the regional water and sewer district for an update on the new water treatment plant project, in a meeting at the conference room at the Oakwood Office Complex at 11:30am Wednesday (tomorrow).
