Is there a future in sheltered workshops that provide training opportunities for clients of QuadcoRehabilitationCenter?   That was part of the discussion at the Tuesday meeting of the board at Quadco.

Other states have begun pulling funding from these sheltered workshop settings; while there is support for these training programs in other locations.     Quadco has had success in offering training to Quadco clients through assembly manufacturing operations, like the pallet-making company.  Other examples are the Subway restaurants operated by Quadco in locations like Stryker and Defiance.                                      But an analysis of the Subway program is showing that expenses for trainers and clients that work is outpacing revenue from the store.  Quadco executive director Bruce Abell reports they may have to sell their Subway stores as a result.
