The board of the Henry County South Joint Ambulance district reviewed the latest construction work on their new facility, going up on the east edge of Hamler.   The foundation work is complete, and the floor was poured for the building.   Electric conduit has been laid, and the next step will likely be walls going up in the next month.    Completion date for the new EMS facility is slated for February 7th, 2015.

 

The south Joint ambulance board has renewed their liability and insurance coverage at a cost of $7,386, which is a 2% increase over the past year.

 

                                    A recent audit of the department indicated no findings, and that report is available on the county auditor’s website.

 

                        The July run-reports indicate rescue squads travelled just over 1,400 miles to provide service in southern HenryCounty.
