HENRY COUNTY CIC TALKS ECON. DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Some economic development projects were on the docket for the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation during this week’s session.  Napoleon Mayor Jason Maassel reports the city is close to passing legislation to transfer two parcels of land to assist World Class Collission with an expansion project at their facility on East Riverview in Napoleon.

The Henry County CIC also approved a ‘right of first refusal’ agreement with a company regarding Napoleon city property, located on Independence Drive between Defiance Stamping and the spec building project.

Speaking of the spec building, the foundation for the structure is expected to be poured this week, and the building itself should be delivered in October.  The plan is to have the exterior complete by the end of the year, so work inside can take place over the winter.

And in Holgate, the industrial building on the west side of the village is now owned by a plastics manufacturing company.  They will begin operations with 15 full-time employees in the first two years, the potential to expand after that.
