A brand new highway garage is being unveiled in Fulton County Wednesday afternoon by ODOT. The facility moves from Shoop Avenue in Wauseon to its new location across from the Fulton County Fairgrounds along route 108, north of Wauseon. There’s a new 31,000 square foot building for vehicles, as part of a 9-acre footprint. It’s three times larger than the previous highway garage, and the project features an 8-ton salt storage facility. Fulton County has 25 to 30 employees at their ODOT garage, and will welcome the public to an open-house scheduled Wednesday from 2 till 6pm. A ribbon-cutting and flag-raising are part of the activities Wednesday afternoon to showcase their new 8 million dollar layout.
