ISSUES ON HENRY COUNTY BALLOT IN NOVEMBER

Although the general election in November is over two months away, early voting will commence on October 10th.  Henry County residents will decide a number of issues this fall, including a county-wide request for a seven-tenths renewal levy for the Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services.                   Patrick Henry and Holgate school districts have renewal levies on the ballot.   Holgate is seeking a 10-mill levy for emergency requirements and permanent improvements for a period of 5 years.  Patrick Henry is requesting renewal of a 4.2 mill levy for emergency requirements.                  In Freedom Township, a replacement levy will be on the ballot for fire-fighting expenses.

The village of McClure has a 1.5 mill renewal levy for streets and bridges.

                   Napoleon township is seeking renewal of a 3 mill levy for roads and bridges.                     And Damascus Township residents will decide two levies.   One is an additional 1 mill levy for payment of EMS personnel and to purchase equipment.     The other is a replacement levy for Damascus Township of 2 mills to provide for firefighter facilities and personnel.
