CONSTRUCTION WORKER KILLED IN U.S. 24 ACCIDENT

A road construction accident led to fatal injuries in Lucas County Wednesday for a Henry County resident.   The highway patrol investigated the incident at about 4pm yesterday on U.S. 24 in Waterville Township.  34 year old Michael Massucci of Waterville was travelling eastbound on route 24, and changing lanes from left to right.   A construction truck was parked on the right side of the highway, and the driver, 42 year old Nathan Soto of Napoleon was outside the vehicle.  As Massucci was changing lanes he struck the pedestrian, Nathan Soto, causing critical injuries.  Soto was pronounced dead at the scene, while Massucci was not injured.

Troopers are reminding drivers to exercise caution while traveling through construction zones.

The Henry County Sheriff’s office made an arrest Wednesday, when 57 year old Ronald Griesinger of Napoleon was picked-up on a warrant for Failing to Appear in Court.  Griesinger was turned over to Napoleon Police and transported to the regional jail.

Napoleon Police also made an arrest at 10am Wednesday, when 37 year old Curtis Otto of Napoleon was taken into custody in the 400 block of West Maumee.  Otto was wanted on a Henry County warrant.
