WEEKEND TRAFFIC REPORT

The Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated an injury crash over the weekend, along with two vehicle thefts.  Friday at 1:15pm, 24 year old Luis Lloyd of Montpelier was travelling on county road 424 in Flatrock Township, crashing through a fence, down an embankment, and then struck a tree.  Lloyd was injured and transported to the Henry County Hospital by Napoleon Rescue.

Deputies were called concerning a vehicle that was stolen from 318 South Butternut Street in Deshler Saturday morning.  The pickup was located in Putnam County.

Then at 12:55 this morning a resident on road V reported their pickup was stolen.  The vehicle was found in Fulton County.

Napoleon Police investigated some theft complaints over the weekend.  Some jewelry was stolen in a theft at 533 Appian Avenue Saturday morning.

And a resident in the 700 block of Daggett Drive was charged with stealing electric services from the city.

Sunday evening, the Napoleon Fire department was dispatched to the Oldcastle Plastics plant on Industrial Drive.   A blaze ignited in a machine but was contained to that unit.  A number of area fire departments converged on the scene.

At that same time, a stove fire was reported at 720 West Riverview.  Damage was contained to the appliance.

And a rescue run was also called-in Sunday evening, with the South Joint Ambulance District providing service for Napoleon.

And the highway patrol reports two semi’s were involved in a crash on the turnpike near Wauseon just after midnight today, that closed both eastbound lanes.   Traffic is starting to flow again on the toll road this morning.
