The Defiance City School Board of Education got an update on the renovation project at the community auditorium during their meeting this week.Cranes will be on the site to install some rooftop air conditioning units on Friday, and the new cooling system will be connected next week.
The School Board also discussed the upcoming auction Saturday at the Defiance 1918 facility, where a number of items will be auctioned off.That auction gets underway at 9am.There was also dialogue about the school’s intent to work with the city of Defiance to purchase the 1918 building for $1, and then develop the property.
