STABBING INCIDENT IN RURAL DEFIANCE COUNTY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

In Defiance County, the sheriff’s office was dispatched to the scene of a stabbing incident early Sunday morning.The location was a property along the Ney-Williams Center Road, rural Bryan at 1:47am yesterday.When deputies arrived, they located the victim, 43 year old Michael Harris of that rural Bryan residence.During the incident, the alleged perpetrator was engaged by deputies with a gunshot fired, striking the suspect.That man was identified as 38 year old Clarence Thigpen of Kalamazoo, Michigan.The victim, Michael Harris was transported by Air Ambulance to a hospital in Indiana, where he listed in stable condition.Clarence Thigpen, the suspect in the case, was transported to Bryan Hospital, and then by air ambulance to a Toledo Hospital.Thigpen is listed in critical but stable condition.
