NAPOLEON APPROVES CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR NEW HEALTH EQUIP. MANUFACTURER

At a special meeting of the Napoleon Planning Commission, and a special city council session, both bodies approved a conditional use permit for Axis LED Group, to take-over the former Walmart building at 1851 Oakwood Avenue in Napoleon.ALG Health as they are called, have plans to start a business in production of personal protection health equipment.The new company is expected to ramp up production soon, after retro-fitting the building to their specifications.Henry County CIC executive director April Welch reports the company’s plan is to hire close to 200 employees, and possibly expand from there to a three-shift operation with up to 500 workers.As part of the project, ALG would bring some of their production in China back to northwest Ohio to the Napoleon facility.
