The Defiance County Grand Jury indictment multiple defendants after cases were presented by prosecuting attorney Morris Murray.
Some of those indictments included 33 year old Mackenzie J. Carpenter of Defiance, who was indicted for Rape, Sexual Battery, and Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor. The case involved a juvenile victim under the age of 17, in one of the charges against Mr. Carpenter.
Also indicted was 18 year old Glen A.L. Smith of Defiance- indicted for Kidnapping, Abduction, Felonious Assault, and two counts of Strangulation. The alleged crimes occurred April 15th at a residence on Summit Street in Defiance.
