DEFIANCE COUNTY MAN CONVICTED OF MULTIPLE RAPE COUNTS IN JURY TRIAL

           Gregory A. Goller, age 54, has been found Guilty of twenty-seven felony offenses following a Trial by Jury on August 15, 2023 in the Defiance County Common Pleas Court.  The Trial began Monday, August 14 and concluded Tuesday when the Jury returned its’ verdicts. The State of Ohio, represented by Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris J. Murray, presented evidence and witnesses to the Jury who found Goller GUILTY of six counts of Rape, each a Felony of the First Degree, twenty counts of Endangering Children, each a Felony of the Second Degree, and one count of Illegal Use of Minor or Impaired Person in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance, a Felony of the Second Degree.

           The evidence and witness testimony showed that on or between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009, at his residence on Trinity Road in Defiance County, Goller engaged in sexual conduct with two female juveniles, under the age of thirteen, on multiple occasions; That in September of 2008 and February of 2011, on multiple occasions, at the Trinity Road residence and at a hotel located in Defiance County, Goller did entice, permit, encourage, use, or allow the same two female juveniles to participate in, or be photographed in material that was sexually oriented or nudity-oriented; and, that on December 18, 2021, Goller transferred material that showed minors in a state of nudity. The Rape offenses carry the possibility of Life imprisonment.

           The Court continued the matter for Sentencing in Defiance County Common Pleas Court on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.Goller will be held without bond pending sentencing.
