The city of Napoleon and contractor Vern Nagel, Inc. report the downtown improvement project will get underway today. Expect a one-lane closure on Perry Street between Riverview and Washington all day today. But all traffic for the Labor Day weekend will run as normal. Then on Tuesday, September 5th at 7am, Perry Street will be closed from Riverview to Clinton for thru traffic. Local residents or businesses will have access in this construction zone; but are warned to very careful for safety concerns.
A detour will be posted directing northbound Perry Street traffic to Riverview, and onto Scott Street. Oakwood traffic southbound will be diverted onto Monroe, to Riverview.
The Washington Street closure and construction will occur in late September, following the Perry Street phase.
