The highway patrol is investigating a double fatal crash that occurred early this morning on U.S. 24 near Okolona in Henry County. Troopers were called to the scene just before 1am today, on route 24 at road 17-D. It’s believed a driver got onto the wrong lane of the highway, heading into traffic, causing a head-on collision. Both drivers were killed in the accident, they are 22 year old Brianna Hackett of Defiance, and 27 year old David Cautlacuati of Plymouth, Indiana. Hackett and Cautlacuati were each pronounced dead at the scene. The eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 were shutdown for about 3 hours while troopers investigated the crash. The Henry County Sheriff’s office and Napoleon Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
