LC SCHOOL BD REVIEWS FACILITIES AND FINANCIALS

The Liberty Center school board worked on personnel issues, and discussed facilities at their Monday meeting.   Carpeting is going down on floors in the new school building, the wood gym floor is being laid, and the kitchen is taking shape.  The plan is to wrap-up construction in mid December, with Christmas break for Liberty Center students beginning December 16th.   The move will take place from then until January 8th, when students return to a new building.

The board also reviewed the financial forecast for the next five years at Liberty Center schools, where a positive cash balances is projected through July 2022.

A new bus was purchased for transport of students at $88,600.

          And the Liberty Center board awarded coaching contracts, including Scott Barrett in softball, Ryan Zeiter in baseball, along with Pam Righi and Matt Bryan as varsity track coaches.

A new supplemental was established for vocal music director, and Mary Chamberlin was approved for that position.

The Liberty Center board went into executive session to discuss employment of personnel, and security in the new building, but no action was taken.
