The Paulding County Sheriff’s office is looking for three subjects in connection with an attempted robbery and assault that occurred early yesterday morning near Antwerp. A homeowner pulled into his driveway on road 204 in Paulding County at 12:30am, and saw a large dark-colored SUV parked near an outbuilding. He got out of his vehicle and was walking to his residence, when he was attacked by subjects with a shovel and piece of metal. The assailants demanded money; but the victim was able to escape and run to a neighbor’s house. The suspects fled in their SUV headed westbound toward Indiana. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Antwerp EMS, and was treated and released. Anyone with information concerning this incident, or that might have seen something suspicious in Paulding County early Wednesday morning, should contact the Paulding County Sheriff’s office.
