A Henry County man is in custody following an incident involving a firearm in Defiance from last Friday. Just after 7pm Friday, Defiance Police were called to the Defiance High School parking lot on Palmer Drive, where a male subject reportedly threatened another male with a gun. Officers recovered a weapon from the vehicle of 56 year old David McCabe of McClure. McCabe was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Illegal Possession of a Deadly Weapon in a school safety zone, and Improper Handling of a Firearm in a Vehicle. David McCabe was transported to the regional jail and held over the weekend. He appeared in Defiance Municipal Court Monday, with bond set at $75,000. His next appearance is Wednesday morning.
