JIM HOOPS SELECTED FOR 81ST HOUSE SEAT IN OHIO

Another familiar face is headed back to the legislature in Columbus.  After interviews were conducted with 5 candidates for the 81st house seat, a panel of state representatives has chosen Jim Hoops of Napoleon to fill the vacancy.  Hoops is currently the Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Northwest State Community College; and he previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2006.   The Patrick Henry grad, and Napoleon resident is expected to be sworn-in to the 81st House seat on Wednesday, January 17th.   The acting speaker of the house, Representative Kirk Schuring reported he was very impressed with all the candidates that took the time to apply and interview for the position.
