After being approved by voters in November 2011, electric aggregation became a reality for local residents in Henry County. The Henry County Commissioners have renewed their contract to continue electric aggregation, which is estimated to save residential customers about 6%, and 4% for commercial customers. Napoleon municipal electric customers are not eligible for this program. This agreement is with Palmer Energy, and they will be seeking bids from electric suppliers again in 2020.
Henry County Commissioners approved a grant application for the second phase of the Park Street improvement project in Napoleon. The city is seeking $300,000 in the competitive grant program, which includes other communities around Ohio. The total cost for the second phase is about 1.1 million dollars, and covers the eastern portion of Park Street.
A grant was also submitted by Henry County Commissioners, seeking funds from ODOT to help pay for vehicles in the Henry County Transportation Network.
