HOUSE FIRE NORTH OF NAPOLEON ON SATURDAY

Damage is estimated at $88,000 from a blaze on Saturday that ignited in a vehicle parked in a garage, but then spread to a nearby house.   It happened just north of Napoleon along state route 108 around 3:20pm Saturday.  When the Napoleon fire department arrived the structure was well involved in fire, and mutual aid was summoned from Liberty Center, Ridgeville and Wauseon departments.  The state fire marshall’s office will be called in to investigated the cause of the blaze.   Crews were on the scene for about six hours, and one person was treated at the scene for injuries.   The highway was closed for several hours between Henry County roads R and S, in order to assist fire fighting operations.
