DESHLER POLICE CHIEF INDICTED BY HENRY GRAND JURY

The chief of police in Deshler has been indicted by the Henry County Grand Jury.   Prosecuting Attorney Gwen Howe Gebers reports chief Ryan Bowersox has been charged with three counts of Unauthorized use of the Ohio Law-Enforcement Gateway.   These fifth degree felonies are related to alleged illegal use of the state law enforcement computer network to look-up persons and information.   On Thursday, a search warrant was executed at 230 Blaine Street in Hamler, and also at the Deshler Police Department, with assistance by the FBI and Bureau of Criminal Identification.  The warrant led authorities to search for stolen guns, steroids, and evidence related to the investigation.

Chief Bowersox was issued a summons to court, and is scheduled to appear on April 17th.             Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
