The sidewalk renovation project for this year in Holgate will be getting underway soon. Gray’s Concrete was awarded the contract at $9,605, with the work to be done on the south side of Chicago Street, between Keyser and Squire. Property owners will pay for the sidewalk improvements either up-front, or by assessment over the next three years.
Holgate Council approved a 3% pay raise for the village administrator. And they approved the purchase of a new mower from Holgate Implement at $6,000, plus trade-in.
The Holgate fire department was approved to use the swimming pool parking lot for training. That will also be the location of the spring cleanup dropoff in Holglate, scheduled for April 23rd through 25th, from 8:30am till 8pm.
