BODY FOUND IN MAUMEE RIVER IN NAPOLEON

There has been positive identification for a body found in the Maumee River in Napoleon last week.   Napoleon Police were summoned when a missing person complaint was filed late Wednesday.   That led to a search along East Maumee, and Thursday morning around 7:30am, the body of a female subject was found along the south shore of the Maumee River, near the intersection of East Maumee and Appian Avenue.    The body was that of 60 year old Antoinette Leith of Napoleon, who lived in that neighborhood.   Police Chief Dave Mack reports there were no signs of foul play; but an autopsy has been ordered for Leith, by the Lucas County Coroner’s office.  Napoleon Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene along the Maumeee River.
