Children all over the Defiance area are itching to get wet at the new Splash Pad under construction at Bronson Park. Water park features have been installed along with the new playground. The former bathhouse has been transformed with new floors, partitions, and even baby changing stations. And a new mural will be going on the outside of the bathhouse.
The splash pad still needs a huge 30 by 30 foot umbrella, the concrete deck, along with bike racks, and picnic tables. A number of donations from the community and Defiance city funds are paying for the project. They’re still shooting for the new splash pad to be open Memorial Day weekend; but it might be just a bit later if there are some weather delays.
