LIBERTY CENTER TO JOIN WATER-WELL TEST AGREEMENT

The village of Liberty Center is joining at least four other entities in a water-well test agreement.   Liberty Center Council authorized the mayor to negotiate a cost for their share of expenses, as the communities join to look for a new water source.   The agreement is with Artesian of Pioneer, who is hoping to tap into an aquifer near the Williams-Fulton County line, that could provide water to participants like Liberty Center, the Henry County Regional Water and Sewer District, along with Whitehouse, Maumee, and Sylvania.  The costs for drilling the test wells would be shared by these communities.                            Bids should be going out in the next few weeks for a storm sewer project on Maple Street in Liberty Center.  Work could start by the end of July, and completed by the last of November.

The grand opening for Liberty Center’s ‘rails to trails’ bike and hiking path is slated for this Saturday at 9am at the railroad depot. (dee-poe)

The Tigertown 5000 returns to Liberty Center the last Saturday in July, on the 28th.               And Mary Lou Bowers has been appointed to a seat on the village cemetery board.
