NAPOLEON COUNCIL APPROVES SEWER RATE HIKE FOR 2019

The first reading on an ordinance to raise sanitary sewer rates in Napoleon for next year was approved by city council Monday night.  The legislation calls for a 5% increase in 2019, but must pass two more readings. 

          Napoleon Council voted to amend the rule on number of drinks allowed in the downtown outdoor refreshment area per person, to two.   That now goes back for a second reading before council due to the change.

                   Council authorized the law director to bring back legislation, seeking to prohibit ‘jake brakes’ in Napoleon.

The issue of creating a committee to study a future new swimming pool in Napoleon was referred to the parks and recreation committee.

                   Napoleon Council set trick-or-treat night for Wednesday, October 31st, from 6 till 7:30pm.

And the council session opened with Tyler Murrey sworn-in as a new police officer in Napoleon.
