The highway patrol investigated a fatal crash in Defiance County Monday night. The location of the accident was Willhelm Road near McCallister Road in Defiance Township. At about 8:45pm Monday, 63 year old David Nussbaum of Defiance was northbound and lost control of his straight truck and trailer. The rig struck a utility pole and tree, and then overturned, catching fire. David Nussbaum was killed in the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Defiance County Sheriff’s office, and Defiance fire and rescue responded to the scene.
