NAPOLEON COUNCIL TO PURCHASE VEHICLES

Some vehicle purchases were approved in several departments by Napoleon City Council Monday night.  A new cruiser for the police department will be coming, along with a new garbage truck, and a large dump truck.

Napoleon Council reviewed plans for the Williams Pump Station project, with a price tag estimated at 1.5 million dollars.   An easement is still being sought for this construction.

A CRA agreement was being recommended for approval for Busch Investments, and their plans to renovate the former Senior Center building on East Clinton Street in Napoleon.   It will likely be utilized for a smaller banquet hall, with some retail shops also a possibility.

Napoleon Council authorized an application for a grant to purchase safety equipment for fire responders, and rescue personnel.    Council is also looking at some changes in contracts to hire new fire fighters and EMT’s, hoping to get applicants with more experience.
