NAPOLEON TO BE DESIGNATED A BUCKEYE TRAIL TOWN

The city of Napoleon will have a new name coming up next week.The Buckeye Trail and North Country trail will be designating the city ‘Buckeye Trail Town’.The recognition will take place next Thursday, May 16th in a ceremony at Ritter Park at 4pm, along West Riverview Avenue.The Buckeye Trail follows the towpath of the old Miami-Erie canal, connecting Defiance County and Lucas County through Napoleon.The trail is along the north side of the Maumee River, and passes through 3 city parks in Napoleon- Meyerholtz, Ritter, and Vorwerk.More than 200 hikers are expected to join Henry County for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Buckeye Trail.
