Both drivers suffered serious injuries in a Friday morning crash today in Defiance County.The highway patrol investigated the accident at 10:51am, on state route 111 near Hammersmith Road rural Defiance.
33 year old Fabian Aguillar of Oakwood was northbound and failed to negotiate the curve,His vehicle went left of center, striking an oncoming vehicle head-on driven by 75 year old Rex Wimmer of Defiance.Both Fabian Aguillar and Rex Wimmer were transported to the Defiance Regional Medical Center, and each victim was transferred by air ambulance to Promedica Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.State route 111 was closed for two hours due to the crash.
