PUTNAM COUNTY REPORTS SIGNIF. UPTICK IN COVID-19 POSITIVE TEST RESULTS

There’s been an uptick in corona virus cases in northwest Ohio, in one county in particular.Putnam County, which had 0 positive tests a few days ago, is now up to 14.The reason is a long-term care facility had some residents and staff members test positive for Covid-19.The positive test results were found at the Meadows of Leipsic.The age range of the positive test patients is 34 to 95 in Putnam County, with 10 female, and 4 male.The Putnam County Health Department is working with the long term care facility to keep the virus from spreading.

Defiance County has added one more positive test this week, with 13 cases to report.The range in age in Defiance County is 32 to 77.7 patients are female, and 6 are male.

Fulton County now has 10 positive tests reported with Covid-19.

Williams County reports 6.

Paulding County has 5 cases.

And Henry County now has 3 positive tests so far.They include a female in her 20’s, a male in his 40’s, and another male in Henry County, in his 70’s has tested positive for the corona virus.

Health officials report area communities are doing a very good job at social distancing; but residents will have to keep at it, and continue washing hands frequently.Cleaning surfaces is also a good idea.
