POLL WORKERS NEEDED IF IN-PERSON VOTING IS TO CONTINUE IN AMERICA

If you would like to perform a community service and make money at the same time, your local county board of elections would like to hear from you.There is an urgent need for poll workers in the general election on Tuesday, November 3rd.Defiance County needs a minimum of 132 workers that day to cover the various polling places; and right now they are short by about 40 to 50.Each poll-worker is paid $20 for a training session that runs 90 minutes to two hours.Then on election day, you are paid $120.But it is a long day, starting at 5:30am, and working till 8:30pm.In-person voting can only continue with the help of poll-workers all across America.And this is a good way to keep those polls open.Contact your local board of elections if you would like to learn more, in Defiance County the number is 782-8543.
