NAPOLEON MAN CHARGED IN FATAL CRASH ON I-75 SUNDAY NIGHT IN WOOD COUNTY

A Napoleon man has been charged in connection with a fatal traffic accident that occurred on I-75 in Wood County Sunday night. Just before 10pm Sunday, multiple vehicles were involved in a collision that set two vehicles on fire and claimed the life of two occupants.  The highway patrol reports a vehicle was travelling near Cygnet on I-75, when it struck a pickup in the rear.  That pickup was pushed across the median and struck two vehicles in the northbound lane, with debris causing other autos to crash. The driver of that pickup, 19 year old Andrew Jones of Findlay, and the driver of a Jeep that was struck, 23 year old Kassidi Krzykwa of Kalamazoo, Michigan both died of their injuries at the scene. Two other people in the Jeep suffered serious injuries; and were transported by Life Flight to a Toledo Hospital.  Four people in another vehicle from Michigan were injured and transported to Wood County Hospital. While a fifth vehicle was involved, and that driver from Bowling Green, 27 year old Alyssa Thompson was transported to Wood County Hospital.    The highway patrol reports the driver of the at-fault vehicle is 24 year old Nicholas Luderman of Napoleon, who is being held at the Wood County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide.
