NW OHIO FLIGHT TEAM TOUCHES DOWN IN 48 STATES TO BREAK WORLD RECORD

A northwest Ohio air team has broken a world record in flight, touching-down in 48 states, within a 48 hour period.  The air voyage began Sunday night, June 4th,  at 11pm in Berrien Springs, Michigan.  The flight plan took them through the northern states first; and then hitting the west coast, flying through the Rocky Mountains in the north and south.Their final day today (Tues.) took them to an early morning touch-down in the panhandle of Florida, before they made their swing northbound toward New England.  The crew actually caught the southern-most tip of Ohio in Lawrence County this afternoon, before the home stretch took them across West Virginia. The final three states on their route would be New Hampshire, Vermont, and a final touch-down in Portland, Maine. The official landing time was 6:42pm, and it means they hit all 48 states in their flight plan in just over 44 hours.   The crew includes pilots Barry Behnfeldt of Napoleon, and Aaron Wilson of Whitehouse; along with their airplane tech, Thomas Twiddy.
